Meet Pastor John and Bertha

Pastors John and Bertha Argueta love pointing people to Christ and helping them grow spiritually. They have served in different ministry capacities for the past twenty-five years. Pastors John and Bertha are licensed ministers with the Assemblies of God and graduates from Northpoint Bible College and Seminary. They are entrepreneurs who have owned businesses for many years, but recently, they sold their businesses to start the Journey Christian Center. In addition, pastor Bertha is a practicing marriage and family therapist, and pastor John is a business consultant and a doctoral student. Pastor John and Bertha are happy you are visiting our website and they look forward to meeting and serving you.

The Journey Christian Center Vision

Our vision is to establish a bilingual Christian center (English & Spanish) that brings about transformation in individuals and families through the proclamation of the gospel and by providing human services that alleviate immediate and long-term needs in homelessness, poverty, immigration, English as a second language (ESL), and hunger. The gospel proclamation is in obedience to the great commission (Matt 28:19-20) to make disciples, baptize them, and train them in the ways of the Lord. Human services follow biblical principles of compassion (1 John 3:16-18; James 2:14-17, Matt. 15:32; Gal. 2:10).
